Cash Policies

Defines the institution's cash-handling control policies (mfi.cash.policy) - till and vault limits, dual-custody rules and end-of-day cash thresholds. These policies set the boundaries that branch operations and the cash-position monitor are measured against. Breaches surface as cash incidents for governance follow-up.

Workflow

Open Cash Policies under Governance.
Create a policy defining till, vault and float limits.
Set dual-custody and over/short tolerance rules.
Assign the policy to the relevant branches or tills.
Activate it so breaches automatically raise cash incidents.

Branch `branch_id`	Link → mfi.branch	—	Leave empty to apply to all branches.
Teller Group `teller_group_id`	Link → res.groups	—	Leave empty to apply to all teller tiers.
Opening Float Default `opening_float_default`	Money	—	Default cash issued from vault on till open.
Till Max `till_max`	Money	—	Hard cap. Above → block cash receipts and auto-sweep.
Till Min `till_min`	Money	—	Soft floor. Below → auto-request top-up from vault.
Single Txn Max Cash `single_txn_max_cash`	Money	—	Refuse any single cash transaction above this. EFT suggested.
Denomination Required Above `denomination_required_above`	Money	—	Cash transactions above this must enter denomination breakdown.
Vault Max `vault_max`	Money	—	Regulatory holding cap on branch vault.
Vault Min `vault_min`	Money	—	Operating float — alert if vault drops below.
Vault Cit Pickup Trigger `vault_cit_pickup_trigger`	Money	—	Above → auto-create CIT pickup request.
Variance Tolerance `variance_tolerance`	Money	—	\|variance\| at till close above this → incident + auto-suspend.
Close Requires Recount `close_requires_recount`	Yes/No	—	Force a second denomination count before close.
Close Requires Supervisor `close_requires_supervisor`	Yes/No	—	Supervisor must witness close.
Auto Suspend On Variance `auto_suspend_on_variance`	Yes/No	—	Auto-suspend till when variance > tolerance at close.
Auto Suspend On Idle Minutes `auto_suspend_on_idle_minutes`	Number	—	Auto-suspend if no till activity for N minutes (0 = off).
Pre Kyc Balance Cap `pre_kyc_balance_cap`	Money	—	Pre-KYC member balance cap. Replaces mfi_tier1_balance_cap.
