Burn assessment
Total body surface area is calculated from per-region percentages (head, neck, anterior/posterior trunk, each limb, perineum) using rule-of-nines or age-banded methods, alongside burn depth, inhalation and high-voltage injury flags and an overall severity. The total TBSA feeds the Parkland fluid-resuscitation calculation.
