Collateral

Collateral records the assets pledged to secure loans - land, vehicles, equipment, chattels or savings - with valuations and lien details. Adequate collateral coverage reduces credit risk and provisioning, and the register supports realisation of security during recovery.

Workflow

Open the loan and register each pledged asset by collateral type.
Capture description, valuation, valuation date and ownership/lien details.
Attach valuation reports and charge documents.
Confirm the collateral coverage ratio meets product policy.
Mark collateral for realisation when enforcing recovery.
