Interest on savings

Each product carries an annual rate. Interest reaches a member’s account as an interest transaction you enter on it.

Who: Savings Manager and Accountant.

Where the rate is set

The rate is the Annual Interest Rate (%) on the Interest tab of the product (savings products). It is copied to each new account, where a savings manager can change it for that one account, and it is what the member reads on the portal (“Earns 5.0% a year”).
