Setting up

Set up the authority, receive the first book, calibrate the printer, and issue.

1. Set up the authority

Choose how it issues — connector or manual capture — and review its cancellation codes. The country pack has already chosen the regime.

2. Receive the first book

Record the range, series, branch and the first blank's printed serial. Every number in the book exists from that moment.

3. Calibrate on plain paper

Print the alignment test page, hold a real blank against it, correct the boxes and record the measurement.

4. Issue

Issue from the policy, record the authority's number where it owns it, and print — the QR goes on the certificate.
