Roles and access
Each desk is one dropdown on the standard user form — Servicing, Sales, Finance, Compliance & Audit, Administration and Configuration — and the line they are drawn along is the one agencies keep above all others: the people who look after clients are not the people who decide who gets paid. The add-ons bring six more: three on a Producer Pay desk and three on a Client Money desk.
| Desk | Levels, lowest first | What changes between them |
|---|---|---|
| Servicing | Service Representative › Account Manager | Opens accounts, records policies, issues certificates and works renewals and x-dates. Reads commission, but changes no rate, credit or split and touches no carrier statement. |
| Sales | Producer › Sales Manager | A producer sees their own earnings and nobody else's, by a rule on the producer named on the record. The sales manager sees the whole team's production and pays nobody. |
| Finance | Finance Officer | Imports and reconciles carrier statements, works the exception queue and chases commission that never came. Sets no rates, and approves nothing it also raises. |
| Compliance & Audit | Auditor | Reads accounts, policies, the commission ledgers and carrier statements, and writes nothing. An auditor who can fix what they audit is not an auditor. |
| Administration | Brokerage Manager | Holds every agency role, and alone sets and closes commission agreements, writes off a shortfall the carrier will not pay, and deletes a record the ledgers refer to. |
| Configuration | Configuration Manager | Classes, products, coverages and the statutory tables belong to whoever holds this role, not to whoever can open the form. |
Rules the system enforces for every role
- A producer cannot read another producer's earnings — the rule follows the producer named on the record.
- Servicing staff can read commission but cannot change a rate, a production credit or a producer split.
- Writing off a shortfall the carrier will not pay, and setting or closing a commission agreement, needs the Brokerage Manager.
- A role that cannot take an action does not see its button, and the rule still holds however the action is attempted.
