Roles and access
The desk is one dropdown on the standard user form under the Insurance heading. It sits apart from the desks whose results it measures.

| Actuarial | Actuary › Appointed Actuary | The actuary owns the studies, the triangles and the IFRS 17 measurements, reading the whole book and writing only the actuarial work. The appointed actuary signs off a study or a measurement and is the only one who may reopen one that has been signed — deliberately not the general manager. |
Rules the system enforces for every role
- Only the appointed actuary signs off a reserving study or an IFRS 17 measurement.
- Only the appointed actuary reopens a signed study or measurement.
- A signed study or measurement is not recomputed or re-projected — copy it instead.
- A measurement whose movements do not explain its closing balance is not signed.
