Questions
A producer says last month's statement was wrong. What happens?
You issue version 2. Version 1 stays exactly as they received it, with a pointer forward to what replaced it, and version 2 points back. A dispute is a flag with a note on the statement, so "which ones are we arguing about" is a filter.
Is it payroll?
No. A producer is paid as a payee on a vendor bill and the statement joins the ordinary payment run. The one deduction it makes is commission withholding, because that attaches to the commission rather than to the person.
Does it withhold tax on commission?
Yes — from the payment rather than from the earnings, with a chargeback carrying negative withholding. The rates are the commission-withholding levies of your country pack.
Can a producer see their own statements?
Yes, only their own and only once issued. Access follows the producer named on the statement, so nobody reaches a colleague's statement by changing a number in the address bar.
Will it stop us paying somebody we should not?
It checks the licence at the moment of payment, holds a statement where the debt is over your stop limit, and holds a balance under your minimum rather than paying it.
How do overrides work in a hierarchy?
Differential pays each upline the spread between their level and the level below and cannot over-pay; flat pays a percentage of the downline's commission and stacks, so it is checked before it is saved. An upline at or below their downline takes nothing.
Can we see it working first?
Open the live brokerage demo and press Log in — the form is already filled in. Producer Pay is under Commissions, with twelve months of runs, 193 statements, 53 draws and 57 chargebacks.
