Roles and access
The desk is one dropdown on the standard user form under the Brokerage heading, and the brokerage app's own roles carry it: a service representative reads, a finance officer keeps the trust, a brokerage manager approves.
| Desk | Levels, lowest first | What changes between them |
|---|---|---|
| Client Money | Read Only › Trust Officer › Trust Manager | Read Only answers whether a client's premium reached the carrier without the ability to move it. The officer records payables, ages them, takes the reading and raises sweeps. The manager approves somebody else's sweep, sets the bands and the ladder, and alone deletes a record a reading was computed from. |
| The Brokerage Auditor | Auditor | Reads the configuration, every reading, payable, sweep and finance agreement, and changes none of it. |
Rules the system enforces for every role
- A bank or cash journal that is not declared as the premium trust journal cannot post to a fiduciary account.
- Trust cash cannot go to an operating account, an expense or a supplier — only to a carrier, to a client refund, to another trust account, or through an approved sweep.
- Nobody approves a sweep they raised themselves, and a commission sweep larger than the surplus, or one that would leave the ratio under the floor, is refused.
- The out-of-trust floor cannot be configured below 1.00, and a posted sweep is reversed rather than cancelled.
